Summer Lacy

Summer is wife to Chris and mama to their three taller-than-her-now boys. They’re a family of Texas natives who recently crossed the Red River and now reside just north of Oklahoma City.

A teacher at heart, Summer readily traded her role as a professor of Communication Studies for an amazing gig as stay-at-home mom when boy #2 made his debut. Shortly thereafter, her husband volunteered her to teach a young married adults Sunday school class at the church they attended at the time. This environment provided fertile ground for Summer’s love of teaching and her infatuation with the Bible to become intertwined. She’s been writing, speaking and teaching Bible studies ever since.

Her first book, His Word Alone: A call to put down your Bible studies and pick up your Bible, was released in 2018, with two accompanying workbooks being added to the His Word Alone collection not long after. Her most recent endeavor is the founding of Seek and Find Studies, a nonprofit ministry that creates in-depth Bible study materials for the use of the local church.

In her role as director of Seek and Find, Summer spends the majority of her time writing studies, teaching the Bible, and training women in Bible literacy and in leader and teacher development. The group has currently published nine studies, with more on the way.

Thoroughly convinced of God’s ability to use His Word to meet us each individually, Summer has a passion for sharing the endless beauty of Scripture with women in all phases of life, and is an ardent champion of women using their God-given gifts for the glory of God and the good of His kingdom.
